GOOD MORNING
Up again with the start of the forceful surges from the morning commuters ferries. You have no doubts about when that first one arrives. Squeaking ropes and bouncing boats! Casting off was a breeze this morning with Robert, Richard and Barbara helping.
ROBERT CASTING OFF
TYPICAL ACTIVITY OF THE DAY
I have no idea what was responsible for the shadow but I loved the resemblance to an old sedan.
NOTE THE SHADOW ON THE RIGHT BUILDING
We worked our way back down the New York Harbor, paying our respects to Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty again. I guess the Lady will always take my breath away.

THE LADY SENDING US OFF ON OUR JOURNEY
The sight of the impressive Queen Mary 2 brought back pleasant memories of our transatlantic cruise on her with the Hansons. There were several other cruise ships in the waters but this Norwegian Epic was getting a close inspection.
THE QUEEN
HELLO!?
Bridges galore lined our way through the East River and we passed many landmarks that were familiar to us from the shore.

We all enjoyed our cool day’s journey (I had a long sleeved shirt most of the day) and pulled into the calm Captain’s Cove Seaport for the night.
THESE LITTLE KIDS ARE BEING TOWED
Fish and chips on the Captain’s deck with some live music and we were ready to teach Richard, Barbara and Robert how to play Fan Tan. Barbara needed no lessons, even though she said she had never played. Peaceful, calm and quiet night.
