7/11/2010 NOANK, CT TO WESTPORT, CT

STEVEN AND DAN LIVING THE LIFE

After a recommendation by Joe, the dock master, we ambled past Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough and came to a lovely little village. We found a restaurant, small market and a diner that even carried the New York Times. Good find!

Back at the Quest I captured these views from the boat looking forward, right, back and to the left.

PORT VIEW

By 10:30 we were off and headed back west towards New York for our journey up the Hudson. We opted to stop at Brewer Pilots Point Marina South where we had stayed on 7/3. We dropped the dink down and headed up river to a restaurant and watched Spain’s overtime victory over the Netherlands in the World Cup. Back in the tennis world, Mardy Fish won the Newport tournament.

ENTERING WESTBROOK

We hadn’t had the dingy down for a long time and enjoyed tooling around and exploring before the sun set.

CRUSING BACK TO QUEST

Jan, I am proud to tell you that I “almost” skunked the guys in Fan Tan last night. I did take 3 games to Dan’s 1.
