MORE VISITORS
8:15 AM and Robert had landed in JFK and was soon making his way to the NJ side of the Hudson River to join us. Auto, plane, train and bus from Burlington to the Quest. Having worked until the wee hours and then back at BTV for a 7:15 flight, Robert crashed for the afternoon.
Dan and I “fiddle farted” around the Quest then tried to take a walk but there just isn’t far to go from here.
We caught the 6:00 ferry from Lincoln Harbor over to the 38th Street (Pier 79) Ferry Terminal t hen hoofed it over to Les Halles Brasserie on Park Avenue between 28th and 29th Street. Richard, Barbara and their niece, Emily met us there for dinner and “Tim the Waiter” greeted us at the door and seated us immediately. Good drinks, great apps, super dinner and yummy dessert! Thanks Tim for treating us so well.
Our ferry ride back across the Hudson was the perfect end to a delightful evening. I think I kind of like this of travel!! We now have Robert, Barbara and Richard with us until we reach Newport, RI.
