6/6/2010 DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON TO WRIGHTSVILLE

We enjoyed a fun day with the Southeast Harbor Drive neighbors and friends as we cruised our way from downtown, back down the Cape Fear River, into the ICW and on to Wrightsville Beach. With all hands on deck we cast off around 11:00. It was good to see Steve & Elsa and Ryan & Sia again. Steven lived with gracious hosts, Ryan and Sia , when he returned to Wilmington. Thanks for taking him into your family. Julie and Mike with their darling son, River, were new to the neighbor and we were glad to meet them.

I guess a Sunday on the water is kind of the same worldwide. Lots of watercrafts everywhere. Dan was executing his best bobbing and weaving techniques while taking in the sights. We waved to Sia’s mother as we passed by their dock area then scooted on past our Southeast Harbor dock before dropping anchor at Masonboro for a cooling dip. Lots of activity here.

We tied up at the Dockside and enjoyed their terrific Bloody Marys rimmed with Old Bay spice and later dined on their patio when more neighbors, Patty & Tod, arrived. Fun day all around!
