6/19/2010 WORK DAY IN WORTON

The guys spent the entire day working on the three doors. Dan finished stripping the remaining helm door while Richard sanded on all three. When all the sanding was done and the first diluted coat of varnish applied, they did take a few minutes off to jump in the marina’s pool to cool off before applying two more coats of the finish. What nice work they do!

DIRTY WORK BUT THE SCENERY IS GREAT

Charlene and I did the boat laundry in the one little washer and dryer at the marina laundry so it was truly an all day project, interrupted with remaking the beds, washing windows, swatting invading flies and a walk through the neighborhood.

There was a slow trickle of boats either arriving for fuel or dockage, departing for a day of sailing or just lazily cruising up the river on this hot day.

There are Swallows everywhere around the marina and this cutie let me get real “up close and personal” for a photo shoot.
