3/1/2011 NEW RIVER, FORT LAUDERDALE

ROBERT FLIES OFF EARLY

TUESDAY

TOTAL MILES TRAVELED TODAY: 0 NM

By 4:45 AM Robert was hopping into a cab and on his way to the nearby Fort Lauderdale airport. The flight was totally booked with 38 on the stand-by list. Luckily Robert was #3 on the list and was able to catch the jump-seat from here to JFK. The flight to Burlington, VT posed no problems and he made it safely back to the freezing temperatures of Vermont.

Dan was off to class by 7:20 and I started in on those computer things. First I completed the daily blog, then scheduled the upcoming property tax payment, peeked at the credit card activity to check for any more possible fraudulent charges and made our plane reservations to Hawaii for Makoa’s graduation in May. I think I sat in front of the computer until after 2:00 PM.

After a quick shower for some relief from the unseasonably hot and humid day, I walked to the market then prepared dinner. Dan was out of class and back shortly after 7:00. Tonight’s additional evening class covered the required CPR training and certification needed to accompany the captain’s license application.

After dinner we took a long stroll down Las Olas Blvd. and found every restaurant hopping with activity on this Tuesday night. Love to see all that money being spread around.
