9/21/2010 HERITAGE HARBOR MARINA AND QUEST CLEANS

TUESDAY

MILES TRAVELED: 0

Debbie and I took a walk this morning and it was all downhill after that! We cleaned, cleaned and cleaned. Oh yes, throw some laundry in with that and you got it. Dan worked hard on the outside, scrubbing that awful “river mustache” off and getting everything “ship shape”. Quest Water Sports recommended Bio-Kleen Oxidation Remover and it really did a great job.

CAPTAIN MOE BROUGHT US A STASH OF QUEST COZIES AND A QUEST T-SHIRT.
THANKS!

The hot, muggy morning gave reason to expect a storm at sometime and it hit with a vengeance around 2:30. Thunder, lightening, torrential rain and hail surrounded us until the storm was spent. Wow!

Things are looking good for us to pick up the revitalized prop tomorrow. That entails another drive to Chicago but the rewards will be great. The diver will remount it to the shaft after his regular work day is done and we will be fit to continue our travels. Thursday morning looks like our projected departure.

Our evening was peppered with a series of brightly lit storms broken up with short periods of calmness. During one of the short lulls, Dan was able to get to his trusty BBQ. Dinner was a relaxing reward on the Questa with rib eye steaks, baked potatoes, green beans, salad and a lovely bottle of red. Nice! We rounded out the night with a game of Five Crowns (I won, I won!!!) and a movie.
