Much activity today as Kate and Bruce prepare to leave our journey and return to Vermont. The shuttle picked them up at the marina by 9:45 and they were off. What great guests they were and we will miss their animated conversations and interesting stories. They were reluctant to leave us but were looking forward to moving into their new digs.

Dan and I ended up renting a car for the day to do laundry, marketing and other errands. That, folks, is pretty much what we did for the entire day before picking up Craig and Alexis at the airport.
It is good to have our friends back with us. They already know all the ropes and settled right in. Cocktails on the bow started the evening off before we dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in the nearby Crown Plaza Hotel. We had a table overlooking the St. James River while we dined on a meal of decadent escargot, Caesar salads and their fabulous, medium-rare rib eye steaks served by our attentive waiter, James. Thanks to all the Ruth’s Chris restaurants for your attention to great food and the best trained staff around!!! You could give lessons in customer service to many needy establishments. Kudos to you!!!
