5/12/2010 ISLAMORADA TO MIAMA'S DINNER KEY MARINA

FROLICKING DOLPHIN
Today’s jaunt from Islamorada to Miami was only 60 miles and we finally had some dolphin back with us. These guys didn’t like to ride just at the cut of the bow but surfed in our first wake line, nice and close for our pleasure.

JUST HANGING OUT IN THE "HOOD"

Dan was a champ at maneuvering the narrow and shallow channels as we enjoyed the beauties that nature had to offer.

ENTERING CHANNEL

WENDING OUR WAY THROUGH THE CHANNEL
How nice to be back in Verizon area!! Dan was able to call Craig and enlist his help in finding some needed parts and equipment to make it possible to install our new 12V radio (to replace the 1983, shore powered, cassette playing, static piece of junk we have). He will either get it to Bruce and Kate (who arrive for their visit on 5/15) or bring it when he and Alexis rejoin us around 5/22. Thanks!

APPROACHING DINNER KEY MARINA

We entered the Miami area and docked at Dinner Key Marina. Reuben and Adam, we really miss your help!!! Richard and Barbara Feingold are down here for Mia’s birthday, their youngest granddaughter, and joined us for a visit. They treated us to a scrumptious dinner at the nearby Chart House and we caught up on lost time before retiring for the night. Good to reunite with great friends.

LET ME SHOW YOU MY VACATION SLIDES??!!
