GOODBYE ST. AUGUSTINE
Once we were on our way in the ICW, Bruce assumed his “position” and enjoyed his last day traveling on the Quest. Looks comfy and contented.
BRUCE AT EASE
Again, some of the homes were just too outrageous while some were barely adequate. It is all awesome to see though.
THAT WOULD BE A WOW!
I spied this nest perched high in the tree top. Look carefully and you may see the bird hunkered down in the nest.
HUGE BIRD NEST
Crab men, tugs, boatyards, stack of containers and general harbor activity occupied much of our afternoon. So much to see.
WORKING CRABBER
SMALL CRUISE SHIP IN DRY DOCK
STACKS AND STACKS OF HAMBURG TRACTOR TRAILERS
As we approached Jacksonville we passed their Jaguar Football Stadium perched just on the shore, the huge Hyatt Hotel on one side of the river and the Crown Plaza on the other, cruised under the Main Street Bridge and headed for our dockage at the River City Brewing Co. and Marina. Well, this proved to be no easy task. The tide was coming up and the current was rushing and pushing us away from our destination. We finally just tied up to the outside of the gas dock and waited it out. By 6:30 PM we were moved with power on and water hooked up. Nice job, crew!!
JAGUAR FOOTBALL STADIUM
MAIN STREET BRIDGE AND THE HYATT
The sunset crept under our neighboring bridge as we unwound from our day of motoring. Our last night with Kate and Bruce was spent at the River City Brewing Company’s outdoor dining area, once again enjoying some life music and dining.
