We eked out of the dockage at Jupiter bright and early this morning, even before anyone showed up at the office, so this night was on the house!!
LIGHTHOUSE
The scenery changed dramatically from the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach display of wealth and massive population. Charlene, note another beautiful light house. We rather loved the Jupiter, even though the wealth was still evident Things are starting to get more rural and we are not spending time waiting for bridges to open for our passage. Our original destination for today was Vero Beach but due to our speedier journey we decided to go onto Sebastian.
OK, so it has been Porter Rough, Hanson Calm, and Reuben and Adam “Hang On”. It seems that the Bouchards have brought the rain with them. Just prior to arriving at Sebastian we encountered a severe weather front that Dan had been tracking on the XM Satellite Weather Station. We had lightening strike a little island not 200 yards from the Quest. Woke us up!! Here is a photo of the weather map. Note the lightening and Quest turning back south to escape some of the severity.
QUEST MAKING QUICK RETREAT
APROACHING STORM
We landed in Sebastian, filled up with fuel and tied up right there for the night. The owner of the marina gave us a ride to Captain Hiram’s Resort where we enjoyed dinner and a beautiful rainbow while setting right over the water. Another good day!
