BRRRRR! Man, it was chilly last night! We even dragged out the extra blankets for
some extra warmth. Dan started up the
generator this morning so we could turn on the heat but that was short lived. A hose clamp rotted through and shut Ginny
down. Dan quickly found the problem and
made repairs. By 8:45 we were on our way
to Charleston.
Quest found
its niche on the Charleston City Mega Dock and we quickly made our way to the
city on the marina’s hourly free shuttle.
After a leisurely stroll around the historic town we stopped for some
nitro-infused drinks at the 225 Grille at 225 East Bay Street. We are talking major cold here and each drink
comes with a bold warning label that reminds the imbiber to wait until the
drink has stopped fuming! http://charlestonschotelreviews.com/image/grill225nitrotinimenu2011.pdf

NOTE THE SMOKE RISING AND THE ATTACHED WARNING |
We took
dinner at the famous Cotton House, trying such things as “Shrimp and Grits”,
their special “Charcuterie” appetizer and some mighty tasty steaks and chops. A little walk was definitely in order after
all that food! The night was a bit nippy
but much warmer than last night.
