We met some of our dock neighbors and found that they own the beautiful Sterling Ridge Resort in Jeffersonville, VT. The Petersons are lucky enough to call this scenic compound, which would be the perfect place for family reunions, weddings are just a peaceful getaway, their home. Mark Atwood, our chief engineer and CEO of the Querrey Companies, and his family joined us today. Julie, his wife, and the girls came raring to join in all the “boatie” things.

We cast off for a ride and anchored so Alyssa and Bethany could swim with the dads and try their hand at fishing. The fishing was not too good there so we pulled up anchor and headed back to the dock for the night.

Fishing of the back of the docked Quest proved to be a much more lucrative venture. Alyssa caught 16, yes that was sixteen, while Bethany brought in 5 fish. Way to go girls!! Madison was eager to get her hands on the pole too but saner minds prevailed.

And then came the rain!! Having planned a BBQ picnic, we sent the guys off to cook hot dogs and corn while we girls set up the “picnic” on the salon floor. I am happy to report that the picnic was a success with only Judy (that would be me) spilling on the floor.

We tucked Alyssa and Bethany into the forward bunks while Julie, Mark and Madison took the mid stateroom. All went well until the heavy rain and thunderstorm hit. Alyssa bailed from her top bunk and retreated to the comfort of her parents berth, Mark ended up on the floor and Bethany slept through it all.
