One couple, one boat, one plan: to travel from Portland Oregon, through the Panama Canal, around the Yucatan, and through the Great Loop of the United States. With little experience, a commercial grade life raft and more than enough fuel to make it to scene of the crash they begin their journey. What's to come next no one knows but if we stay tuned we'll be sure to find out...

4/10/2010 SATURDAY ANCHORING IN TABOGA
We pulled up anchor in Benao Cove but not before admiring the Pacific Provider and her fleet of fishing boats. It appears to be the floating base “lodge” from which several fishing boats disperse each morning and return to each evening after a full day of deep sea fishing. Looks like a “fishing gods” heaven.
After motoring around the windy Punta Mala and navigating just outside the main deep water shipping lanes, we entered the anchorage at Taboga Island. Quite picturesque with its colorful buildings and old municipal dock. It started our as a really rocky night but smoothed out later in the night.
